Shows in early 2011

January 29, 2011

Hello everyone and a (belated) happy new year!

We just wanted to let you know about some very exciting shows that we’ve got lined up for 2011. First up is The Loves’ all-dayer retirement party on February 13 at The Lexington, near King’s Cross, where our violin and viola players Rosie, Matt, Claire, Jill and Nat will be playing with The Loves during their set. The Loves are one of our favourite bands and we’re very sad to be seeing them go, so do come along and help see them off in style! Details are below:

Sunday 13 February – London
The Loves Retirement Party @ The Lexington, 96-98 Pentonville Road, London N1 9JB

The Loves + Comet Gain + The School + The Lovely Eggs + The Vinyl Stitches + Pocketbooks

Tickets are £8.50 from We Got Tickets and more details are also available on Facebook

We’re also very excited to playing a Save Our Libraries show at the beautiful old hall above West Norwood Library. The show has been set up to help raise awareness about proposed library cuts to up to 1000 libraries across the UK over the next three years. We’ll be playing alongside some of our very favourite indiepop bands and will be inviting some special guests along to sing with us too! Details are below:

Saturday 19 March – London

Save Our Libraries@ Nettlefold Hall, West Norwood Library, 1-5 Norwood High Street, SE27 9JX

Darren Hayman, Horowitz, Leaf Library, The Give it Ups, A Little Orchestra, Pete Green, A Fine Day for Sailing.

DJs: Scared to Dance and Big Pink Cake.

Ticket details will be announced soon.

Hope you can make it along one of these shows – we look forward to seeing you there!
