Tribute show and Indietracks

April 16, 2011

This is just a reminder that we’re playing at a very special tribute show to our former member Edd Billig, who sadly passed away last year. The show, which takes place at the Amersham Arms in New Cross on Saturday April 30, will be headlined by members of Edd’s two favourite bands – Electric Soft Parade and Ooberman.

As well as playing euphonium for A Little Orchestra, Edd was also in a number of other bands, including The Hidden Messages and Apple Eyes, both of whom are also playing on the bill. All proceeds from the night will be donated to charity.

The final line-up for the gig is:

Tom White (Electric Soft Parade)
Dan Popplewell & Sophia Churney (Ooberman)
The Hidden Messages and A Little Orchestra
Apple Eyes
The Vamp + Burgi

Tickets are available at and there is also a Facebook page for the gig.

In other news, we can now also announce that we’ll be playing at the Indietracks festival this year. The festival takes place on a steam railway in Derbyshire on the weekend of 29-31 July 2011. Bands confirmed so far include Edwyn Collins, The Hidden Cameras, Jeffrey Lewis, Jonny (Norman Blake and Euros Childs), Suburban Kids With Biblical Names, Math and Physics Club and many others.

Cheaper early bird tickets are available before Friday 6 May by visiting:
